Unreal Engine Technical Artist / Generalist
Use gaming tech to make real-world aviation safer. Aveo’s mission is to improve airside safety through immersive training. We are building Orion Driver, a state-of-the-art airport driving simulator already trusted by major airports in the UK, Australia, and Iceland.
We are looking for an Unreal Engine Generalist to join us. In this role, you will bridge the gap between art, engineering, and customer success by helping to optimize workflows, enhance visual quality, and ensure smooth performance and immersive experiences for our clients.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is interested in both the technical and artistic aspects of Unreal Engine, loves having a broad overview, enjoys driving projects forward, and is excited to tackle interesting problems with us.
What you’ll be doing:

Project Management & Implementation: Overseeing the rollout of our simulator to new clients, managing timelines, and ensuring our hardware and software solutions are successfully implemented.

Unreal Engine 5: Working closely with the engine, utilizing Blueprint programming, and managing general Actor configurations.

Asset Pipeline: Creating, optimizing, and importing 3D assets and textures, ensuring smooth integration into Unreal Engine.

Quality Assurance: Testing and validating simulator builds on various hardware setups (VR headsets, steering wheels, etc.) before they are shipped to clients.

Bridging the Gap: Acting as the link between design and tech, ensuring the visual assets perform superbly without sacrificing quality.
Who we are looking for:

You have a genuine interest in both the technical and artistic aspects of Unreal Engine.

You have strong organizational skills and feel confident managing projects and technical implementations.

Working knowledge of Blender.

You are comfortable navigating UE5.

You have a basic understanding of React and general web development.

You care deeply about quality, details, and the final user experience.

You are eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to jump into different tasks as needed.
